'For me, decades of suffering with ovarian cysts often getting to the size of 9cm, due to endometriomas (endometriosis-filled sacs) was a long and painful journey.'
Here is one women's story of learning how to use natural remedies to self treat her endometriosis cysts.

Why are endometriosis cysts formed - very briefly . . . .
Endometriosis cysts (often called endometriomas or chocolate cysts) can keep returning even after they are removed with surgery. Why do they return?
Incomplete removal: If a small piece of the cyst wall or microscopic disease is left behind during surgery, it can grow back.
Hormonal stimulation: Natural estrogen production from your menstrual cycle can stimulate new tissue growth. Additionally external estrogens in the form xenoestrogens found in toiletries can increase levels in the body.
The common method of treatment is surgery to remove the cysts or hormone drug treatment to supress ovarian activity and slow down regrowth.
As estrogen acts as the primary fuel that drives endometriosis lesions and ovarian endometriomas. then aiming to reduce levels can help stop them from developing. This was the approach that Jasmin used which proved successful especially in the long run.
Here is her story . . . .
‘As I have had great success in treating my endometriosis cysts with natural methods, I wanted to share my story in the hope that it helps others. – Jasmin
I want to reassure you that resolving ovarian cysts, particularly those caused by endometriosis (known as an endometrioma or chocolate cyst), is absolutely possible without resorting to further surgical procedures.
In fact, I’ve been through this myself countless times over the last 20 years, and I understand how overwhelming it can feel, especially when cysts keep recurring.
For me, decades of suffering with ovarian cysts often getting to the size of 9cm, due to endometriomas (endometriosis-filled sacs) was a long and painful journey.
I even lost 90% of my right ovary back in 2003 when I had my first laparoscopic surgery to officially diagnose me with stage 4 Endometriosis and ovarian cysts. The cyst had completely enveloped my ovary resulting in the need to remove as much of the ovary as possible.
Thankfully, the ovary grew back - which I did not know was even possible until a CT scan in 2022 confirmed I in fact had 2 full size ovaries!
During this time, I realised that the key to healing wasn’t more surgeries that result in scar tissue (which feeds the inflammation and worsens endometriosis), but addressing the root causes naturally.
In July 2020, I experienced one of the most intense moments in my 20 year journey—a cyst the size of a lemon ruptured.
The pain was unlike anything I had ever experienced, even with stage 4 endometriosis flare-ups. When it burst, it leaked fluid into my abdomen, and I was rushed into the ER for another CT scan, where they confirmed the issue.
However, due to pandemic lockdown regulations, I was denied surgery and sent home with pain medications. This whole situation was a wake-up call for me.
It forced me into figuring out what was causing these cysts and how to heal myself from them, because I knew I couldn’t keep relying on surgeries that weren’t addressing the root cause, especially if I was to land up being denied surgery again in the future.
If you’ve been diagnosed with endometriosis and had an ovarian cyst removed, it’s very likely that another cyst may form, as it’s part of the pattern tied to estrogen dominance.
The problem isn’t the estrogen your ovaries produce, but rather the "dirty estrogen" that accumulates in the body from exposure to chemicals, toxins, and environmental factors.
Things like ultra-processed foods, perfumes, deodorants, and even contaminated sanitary products (meaning the cotton is not organic and has been exposed to herbicides such as glyphosate when cotton fields are sprayed) these all contribute to estrogen dominance.
Whether or not this additional cyst is an endometrioma or not, it's a cyst nonetheless, and cysts are a result of excess estrogen.
Here’s what I'd strongly recommend you do immediately, which is how I eventually resolved the issue myself and have not had any cysts return since 2022.
1. Castor Oil and Essential Oils:
Castor oil is a powerful tool in breaking down the endometriomas (cysts). When used topically on the abdomen (not during menstruation), it helps reduce the inflammation and can work to break down cysts over time. I also paired it with essential oils like Frankincense and Lavender, which are known to support healing and reduce inflammation.
2. Milk Thistle:
This supplement is great for liver detoxification. The liver is responsible for clearing excess estrogen from the body, and when it’s overwhelmed, that “dirty estrogen” can cause more issues like cyst formation. Milk thistle helps to support the liver and enhance its detoxification process, ensuring that excess estrogen doesn’t continue to fuel the cycle of cysts and inflammation.
3. Avoiding Toxins:
This was a huge turning point for me. I had to be mindful of the chemicals I was exposed to daily—whether it was in my food, personal care products, or even the products I used during menstruation. I now use organic sanitary wear and focus on reducing exposure to chemicals that mimic estrogen.
As said, I can confidently speak from personal experience the ramifications of not resolving the root cause of these cysts, and how addressing the root causes has allowed me to prevent them from ever returning again.
The last time I had surgery was in 2022, and I’ve been free from cysts and surgeries since then.
I completely understand how confusing and overwhelming it can be to figure out the right steps. It’s taken me years to learn what works, and I’m happy to share my journey.’
