My own endo story

No-one would believe I had endometriosis for 10 years

by Christine
(United Kingdom)

I suffered for more than ten years, before I had treatment, no one believed me. My GP, kept saying it was just a bad period. Then one day I was shopping in a busy town centre, and the pain was so bad I couldn’t walk. I sat down on the pavement and took a pain killer; I always carried pain killers and a bottle of water, for this on-going problem. Don’t be put off by doctors, keep on, get it sorted. I’ve never felt better since my op 3years ago, I’m 55 now. I lost ten years of my life, don’t let it happen to you.
