Could I have endometriosis?

by Anonymous

For the past several months I have been experiencing constant pain in my lower right abdomen. Ignored it for a little while but went to my Dr when it starting getting worse (intermittent sharp stabbing).

They ran a compete blood work, urine test and ultrasound. Everything came back clear -bladder, kidneys, ovaries, uterus and appendix all look fine. Symptoms include nausea, fatigue, bloating, constipation before my period and diarrhoea during, irregular periods, extremely heavy periods lasting around 15 days, headaches, hot flashes.

The pain is generally around a 3 (sits at a 3 all the time but goes up and down in waves, such as a 7 or 8). I was in so much pain a while ago that I went to the emergency room.

They also did blood work, urine test and an ultrasound. They gave me pain killers and sent me on my way.

Some background info: have been getting my period for 8 years now. I'm just under 20 years old. My periods have also been heavy, long and irregular. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with pcos (ultrasound showed many follicles on my ovaries forming a 'necklace of pearls' with enlarged ovaries, high testosterone levels and Lh and FSH hormones were not right) and have been on the pill ever since.

The pill helped to regulate my period and make it not as heavy or as painful, but the last year or so they have been getting worse and interfering with my life. Normal painkillers don't seem to help, either with the constant pain in my pelvic area or with the severe cramping I get with the periods.

I just wanted to know from anyone who has been diagnosed with endo if they think that this maybe what I am experiencing. Feel like my current Dr doesn't really believe that anything is wrong and it's incredibly frustrating and upsetting.
